Kurt Cobain did not release a conventional solo studio album during his lifetime. The official solo catalog is therefore compact and posthumous: it centers on Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings, issued in standard and deluxe form in 2015 from recordings made by Cobain alone.

Cobain was Nirvana’s vocalist, guitarist, primary songwriter, and a founding member. Wayback keeps the solo archive distinct from Nirvana’s band discography, which is filed separately as Hall of Fame No. 3.
